Our History

Since 1982, this program has been offering equine-assisted services (therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, and equine-assisted mental health programs) to hundreds of children, youth, and adults with many types of special needs from primarily Lehigh, Monroe, and Northampton counties in Eastern Pennsylvania.

(It was formerly a program offered by Easter Seals called RISE.)

Participants in Equi-librium's programs have conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, social-emotional difficulties, developmental delays, stroke, MS, and visual impairments. Many have multiple diagnoses, and their ages range from 4 to 74.
