The Patricia Sayler and Barbara Glasow Endowment Fund
Upon the retirement of founding CEO Pat Sayler during the summer of 2013, the Board of Directors established the Patricia Sayler and Barbara Glasow Endowment fund to honor both Pat and the late Barbara Glasow, a founding board member and a well-known Hippotherapist. If you would like to make a contribution to this Endowment Fund, either now or in your estate planning, please contact our office: 610-365-2266.
The Equi-librium Therapeutic Horsemanship Fund is a donor-advised charitable fund of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation. To make a donation to this fund, please contact the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation.
Equi-librium is an Approved Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development's EITC Program.
Businesses: Did you know you can support Equi-librium and improve your bottom line at the same time?
The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) offers a way to significantly reduce your tax liability while investing in local programs that make a difference in the community. Tax credits are equal to 75% of your contribution, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year, which can increase to 90% of the contribution if your business agrees to provide the same amount for two consecutive years.
By investing in our innovative Ride, Learn, and Grow program your taxes are directed to educational programming that benefits individuals with special needs in Lehigh, Northampton, and Monroe counties. The program year runs from July 1 to June 30; first year applicants must file on July 1, and businesses who have fulfilled a 2-year commitment and wish to reapply to renew can do so on May 15.
Through EITC you can support Ride, Learn and Grow
Ride, Learn and Grow is a 10-week Equine-Assisted Learning program for students in the first through third grade. Equine-Assisted Learning is an innovative educational program that uses the horse and its surroundings to create an environment of advanced learning and self-discovery. The curriculum supports classroom standards, and offers each student the opportunity for academic and personal growth. Each week students participate in a two-hour session involving activities on and around the horse. Each activity provides an opportunity to learn and practice language and math skills which enhance Common Core standards; the curriculum is modified according to grade level and ability. Students are given a formative assessment at the end of each activity and are assessed on skills learned. Assessment is based on demonstration, understanding, and use of information through creative activities. Measurement of success is documented as each child participates, and notes knowledge, understanding, and demonstration of skill along with noting need for assistance or prompting.
Our Equine Assisted Learning programs have already benefitted the Pocono Mountain School District and the Nazareth Area School District.
How to Apply:
Submit an application to the DCED at www.NewPA.com/eitc. The office must receive new applications on July 1st; they are approved on a first-come, first-served basis by date received.
Once your application has been approved, send your contribution the Equi-librium for our Ride, Learn and Grow program within 60 days. We will mail you the acknowledgement letter and receipt; it will need to be sent as proof to the DCED within 90 days of your approval.
Are you already receiving EITC's?
